Loveramics Egg – Espresso 80 ml Cup and Saucer – Black

Loveramics Egg is an espresso cup designed down to the last detail with coffee in mind. The black 80 ml cup and saucer together form a clean, stylish set. The cup is made especially for espresso, but also works well with small milk coffees.

Loveramics is a Hong Kong porcelain maker known for its quality coffee ware. The cup is fired at 1300 degrees, which makes the porcelain especially durable. The thick walls also keep espresso warm longer than thin-walled competitors. The shape is designed according to SCAE and SCAA recommendations, so the proportions are considered from start to finish.

The round base is one of the cup's most important features. It promotes even development of the crema formed when making espresso. As a result the flavour is fuller and more even than in a flat-bottomed cup. Espresso really comes into its own when the cup supports the natural extraction process even after brewing.

The cup is 6,5 cm in diameter and 5,5 cm high. The saucer is 11,5 cm in diameter and 2 cm high. The size is well judged: the cup is small enough to keep the espresso warm, yet large enough to give the coffee room to develop. The black colour beautifully brings out the golden tone of the crema.

Loveramics Egg suits home use, but also cafes where looks matter. At the same time it stands up to the wear of daily use.
