Loveramics Egg is an espresso cup designed with the taste of coffee in mind. Hong Kong based Loveramics makes porcelain that combines precise quality with a clean aesthetic. Berry is a soft pink shade that stands out on the coffee table without shouting for attention.
The cup is made from high-quality porcelain fired at 1300 degrees, which makes the material dense and durable. The thick walls keep an espresso warm longer than thin-walled cups, while the rounded base helps the crema develop evenly. The cup meets SCAE and SCAA recommendations, so its size and shape are designed around coffee quality. The saucer is included and is 11.5 cm in diameter. The cup is 6.5 cm in diameter and 5.5 cm tall, with a capacity of 80 ml.
The glaze is especially worth noting. Loveramics uses a special glazing method that makes every cup slightly different. The shade, speckling and pattern vary from piece to piece, so in practice you are buying a one-of-a-kind cup rather than a mass-produced one. That also makes the Loveramics Egg a gift with personality.
In use the cup feels sturdy and sits nicely in the hand. The thick-walled porcelain does not cool quickly, so the espresso stays at the ideal drinking temperature to the last sip. The round shape also suits manual espresso making at home. It fits a tidy manual brewing setup or an espresso machine equally well.
Loveramics Egg suits homes, cafes and offices where presentation matters. It is also an everyday cup that stands up to use and goes through the dishwasher without any trouble. At the same time, it is something you can proudly put on the table. Paired with a coffee grinder, it makes for an easy everyday espresso routine.
All in all, Loveramics Egg is a cup that makes an espresso moment a little more special without complicating everyday life. You can find more about the maker on the Loveramics website. Order Loveramics Egg Berry here and add some colour to your espresso moment.
