The Origami Air transparent is a Japanese dripper designed for brewing filter coffee, and it makes an impression at first glance. The clear body of the Origami Air transparent dripper shows the extraction as it happens, so you can see exactly what is going on in your cup. It is a small thing, but it makes brewing coffee a little more than just a routine.
The Origami Air transparent is made from AS resin, a light, impact-resistant plastic with good heat insulation. The dripper weighs only about 90 grams, so it travels with ease. The material keeps the water temperature steady throughout the extraction, which is key to a balanced result.
Technically, the Origami Air transparent dripper stands out with twenty evenly spaced ribs and a 2.5 cm outlet at the bottom. Together they ensure good water flow and an even extraction. The dripper's conical shape works with both cone and wave filters in size M, and it is sized for brewing 2-4 cups.
Pour over brewing with the Origami Air transparent dripper is simple. Place the dripper in its holder and the holder on a jug or mug, add a filter and ground coffee. Then pour hot water slowly over the coffee in several stages. Done. The method is easy, but it also leaves room to experiment: you can adjust the grind size, water temperature and pouring technique to suit your taste.
The result is a clean, clear cup with no sediment. The full aroma comes through when the extraction runs evenly from start to finish. Fruity and bright speciality coffees in particular really shine with this brewing method.
Origami Air transparent is just as good at home as it is as a travel companion. It is easy to clean, as the dripper is also dishwasher safe. Remember, though, that the holder is sold separately. You will find suitable holders and other coffee brewing equipment in our range.
