Hario Buono Kettle Black – 1.2l

The Hario Buono Kettle Black 1.2l is the kettle that turns making your morning coffee into an art. If you have ever tried to pour water evenly into a Chemex with an ordinary kettle, you know why this one is worth having.

This Japanese classic is designed specifically for making specialty coffee. The narrow, curved spout gives you complete control over the flow of water: you can adjust both the speed and the direction precisely. That is a decisive advantage when brewing with a dripper, Chemex or Aeropress.

The kettle is made from high-quality stainless steel and durable plastic. Its wave-like shape matches other Hario V60 products if you want to build a coherent coffee station. This is a kettle for years, not a one-season wonder.

Total capacity is 1.2 litres, with a practical capacity of 0.8 litres. That is plenty for 3-4 cups of coffee at a time. The kettle works on all types of hob, including induction.

Black is a newer addition to the Buono range. It brings a slightly bolder look to the kitchen, but the function stays the same: excellent control and an even pour.

This is not the cheapest kettle on the market, but it is an investment in a better coffee moment. Once you get used to the Buono's precision, an ordinary kettle feels clumsy. Please note that the product comes with an EU plug, so customers in the UK and Ireland will need an adapter.
