The matt blue Origami Aroma Server is a small, thoughtfully designed ceramic server for pour over brewing. It is made in Japan, and it shows in both the quality of the material and the shape of the vessel. This 200 ml size holds coffee for one or two.
The matt blue Origami Aroma Server is made from high-quality ceramic with excellent heat retention. Ceramic keeps coffee warm longer than glass. It also feels pleasant in the hand. The server withstands heat up to 120 degrees, so it is microwave and dishwasher safe.
The shape of the server is deliberately designed to preserve aroma. The tapered neck holds in the coffee's fragrance right up until you pour it into the cup. Even so, the opening is wide enough for easy cleaning. The spout is also designed so that coffee does not drip down the sides as you pour.
The matt blue Origami Aroma Server pairs naturally with ORIGAMI drippers. It sits steadily under the dripper without any adapters. The result is a set that works seamlessly and looks unified too. The server also works with the AeroPress, making it a versatile addition to your kit.
The difference in the cup is noticeable. The heat retention of ceramic means the coffee keeps a steadier temperature after brewing. Delicate berry notes and subtle floral hints stay more present. Rapid cooling, by contrast, flattens the aromas before they have a chance to open up properly.
In Japanese ceramic production, it is natural for the surface to show small irregularities or pores. These come from the properties of porcelain and vary with the colour and production batch. They are not a defect but a mark of handcraft.
The matt blue Origami Aroma Server is especially suited to those who want to build a practical, coherent pour over setup. It looks at home on the counter on an ordinary morning, and just as much when you are serving coffee to guests. You can find more quality coffee equipment in our equipment range.
