The Nano makes espresso from both ground coffee and Nespresso capsules. It also works with hot or cold water. With hot water, the coffee is ready straight away. With cold water, the device heats it to 92 degrees itself, which takes about 3-4 minutes. The brewing pressure is 20 bar, so this is real espresso rather than just pressurised filter coffee.

The built-in 7500 mAh battery goes surprisingly far. With cold water, one charge gives about five 50 ml cups. With hot water, the same charge lasts for more than a hundred cups. It charges with a USB-C cable, which comes in the box. LED lights show both the brewing status and the battery level.

Getting started is simple. First, place a capsule or the ground coffee basket in the adapter and screw the adapter onto the device. Then pour water up to the chosen mark, 80 ml at most. Finally, press the button: hold it for two seconds with cold water, five seconds with hot, or press twice quickly. The espresso flows straight into the cup that comes with the device.

The device is compact. It is 25 cm tall, 9 cm in diameter and weighs under 700 grams. The body is plastic but feels sturdy.
