The Timemore Chestnut C3S PRO Black is a hand grinder designed for demanding home use. It suits espresso just as well as pour over brewing. Its compact build also makes it an excellent travel companion.

The Timemore Chestnut C3S PRO Black uses patented S2C 660 conical burrs. They are made from high-carbon SUS420 stainless steel. The burrs are designed to cut the coffee bean as precisely as possible rather than crush it. This reduces fines and improves grind consistency. The 38 mm burr diameter allows fast, precise grinding.

The grind size is easy to set exactly right. The Timemore Chestnut C3S PRO Black has a stepless adjustment dial that moves step by step. That way you can find the right coarseness for filter coffee and espresso alike. Adjustment is intuitive and takes no guesswork.

The shaft is supported at two points, which makes turning smooth and stable. This is especially important with light roasts, which are often hard to grind. A stable shaft shows directly in the result: the grind is even and extraction is easier to get right.

The body is machined from a single piece of aluminium alloy. The Timemore Chestnut C3S PRO Black is therefore sturdy and durable, with no loose joints. The bean hopper holds around 20 grams of coffee, plenty for one serving. It measures 158 mm by 51 mm, so it fits easily in a backpack side pocket.
