The Baratza Vario W+ uses 54 mm steel burrs that produce an even grind with hardly any fines. That means a brighter flavour in the cup and a better extraction every time. The built-in scale makes dosing precise and easy. Three programmable buttons store the weight you want to the nearest 0.1 gram. Press start and the Baratza Vario W+ grinds exactly the right amount automatically. Every morning starts the same way, with no guesswork.
The adjustment system works on two levels. The coarse adjustment divides the grind scale into ten clear steps. A fine adjustment lever then divides each coarse step into 22 smaller ones. This makes finding the grind you want quick and repeatable. In practice, it shows as an even flow in your espresso cup and clean, fruity aromas in your filter coffee.
Power comes from a slow, quiet DC motor. It stays cool even through longer grinding sessions and does not heat the beans in a harmful way. The motor also has automatic thermal protection to prevent overheating.
The hopper holds about 250 grams of beans. An innovative shut-off valve makes switching beans easy: you can change coffees quickly without any mess. When the hopper is emptied, less than 10 grams of grindable beans are left behind, which keeps waste to a minimum and your grounds fresh.
