ORIGAMI – Set of Paper Filters M + Paper Filters M with a flat bottom 2-4 fil. 100 Pieces

The Origami dripper is one of the few models that takes both cone and wave filters. This paper pack contains both: 50 cone filters and 50 wave filters, 100 filters in total in size M. So the choice is already in the box.

Cone and wave filters give a clearly different result in the cup. A wave filter creates an even, thin coffee bed, so extraction is more even and efficient. This makes the coffee sweeter and fuller. With a cone filter, acidity comes through more and the flavour is brighter. So the same roast and the same papers give you two different coffee experiences.

Comparing filter types is also an easy way to understand how brewing technique affects flavour. With speciality coffee in particular, small changes can bring out entirely new layers of flavour. That is exactly why this combination pack is a practical choice for beginners and more experienced coffee lovers alike.

Origami filters are made in Japan and fit the size M Origami dripper precisely. They are high-quality paper that adds no taste of its own to the coffee. Even so, it is worth rinsing the filter with hot water before use, as is usual with pour over. That keeps any papery taste at bay.

Choosing a filter is also a matter of mood. Sometimes you want a milder, rounder coffee. Other times a bright, acidic flavour suits the moment better. Now there is a filter for both in the same pack. That, among other things, makes it more versatile than a pack of a single filter type.

All in all, this pack is especially good for anyone who wants to try and compare different brewing styles at home. In cafés and offices that use the Origami dripper, it also serves practical needs well, as the selection is not one-sided. You can find more pour over equipment on our manual brewing page.
