Blendwashed Ethiopia Sidamo and Colombia Castillo EA decaf, fifty–fifty
Packaging250 g

Fifty Fifty is the coffee for you if you want to enjoy a good cup without the full caffeine load. The blend is built from two origins: a washed Ethiopian Sidamo and a Colombian Castillo EA decaf from the Quindío region. Both are roasted separately so that their own aromas and structure stay clear. Only after roasting are the beans blended in a fifty–fifty ratio.

Sidamo gives the coffee a classic Ethiopian profile: floral notes, fresh citrus and a light, tea-like touch. The acidity is bright and airy, making the first impression lively and clean. This bright structure forms the clear backbone of the coffee.

The Castillo from Quindío, on the other hand, brings gentle sweetness and roundness. The region's volcanic soil gives the bean a natural sweetness that comes through in the blend as a subtle milk chocolate note. It does not cover up the brightness of the Sidamo but complements it softly and in balance.

Fifty Fifty is for those moments when you want good coffee but with less caffeine. At its best in a filter coffee machine, a hand pour over and an Aeropress.

We taste

When these two beans are roasted separately and only combined afterwards, the result is harmonious and layered: a bright, floral and citrusy profile up front, with a warm, light milk chocolate note in the background.
