Vihti coffee is a classic medium roast that brings together the bright, lively character of a coffee from the Huila region of Colombia and the soft sweetness of Costa Rica La Pastora Tarrazu. Both coffees are washed, which gives the cup cleanness, clarity and a balanced body. The Colombian coffee is grown at around 1600 metres and the Costa Rican at around 1500 metres above sea level. The result is an approachable yet nuanced coffee where fresh citrus, a maple syrup sweetness and soft chocolate come together.

As a medium roast, Vihti coffee keeps the character of its origin coffees while offering a balanced cup that suits every day. Its brightness and liveliness make the flavour interesting, yet the profile stays soft and easy to enjoy. Vihti coffee works beautifully in an ordinary filter coffee machine, and it is also a good match for a French press, an AeroPress and other everyday brewing methods.

The Vihti coffee label gives the product a strong sense of local art and home. It was designed by Aino Kanner, a young artist from Vihti. Aino specialises in detailed, realistic work based on life models. More than ten years of art studies and a deep passion for art show in her everyday life and in her careful craftsmanship.

Aino says she wanted the label to reflect both her own strengths as an artist and, above all, its most important theme: her home municipality of Vihti. The painting can be seen as calm, warm and atmospheric. It was made in acrylic and finished with various pens, giving the label both a painterly feel and fine detail.

For Haimoo Roastery, Vihti coffee is part of an idea where coffee is not just a product but also a way to champion young local makers. For every bag of Vihti coffee sold, Aino receives 1,50 euros for her label artwork. In this way every bag gives real support to a young local artist and makes her work visible through everyday coffee moments.

Vihti coffee is for you if you appreciate a classic medium roast, a bright and balanced flavour profile and a local story. It combines the citrusy liveliness of Colombia Huila, the soft sweetness of Costa Rica Tarrazu and the hand of a young artist from Vihti. The result is a warm-hearted, easy-drinking coffee with notes of citrus, maple syrup and chocolate.

We taste

Colombia Huila brings bright acidity, lively citrus and a pleasant chocolatey depth to Vihti coffee. Costa Rica La Pastora Tarrazu rounds off the blend with soft sweetness, a clean structure and a balanced mouthfeel. A sweetness reminiscent of maple syrup ties the two coffees together and makes the whole cup enjoyable both black and with milk.
