Daily Brew Daymaker

Most people think morning just happens. It doesn't. Someone screws in the sun, sets the birds to not too loud and puts the dew on by hand, because machines leave streaks.

Daymaker is the coffee for that job. Right now the bag holds washed coffee from Peru, and the cup tastes of sugar cane, caramel and chocolate.

What is Daymaker?

Daymaker is Haimoo Roastery's coffee for a morning you have to make yourself. Nobody says thanks. Nobody has to.

Daymaker belongs to the Daily Brew series, so the bean may change with the season. This page always shows what is in the bag.

Where does the coffee in Daymaker come from?

The current Daymaker comes from northern Peru, grown at 1,800 metres. The lot has two varieties, Bourbon and Caturra, and the coffee is washed.

What does Daymaker taste like?

The first thing you taste in the cup is sugar cane. A sweet start to the day.

Then comes caramel, with chocolate underneath.

It tastes of coffee, as it should.

How should you brew Daymaker?

The roaster recommends Daymaker as filter coffee. It works just as well brewed by hand with a Hario V60 as in an ordinary coffee maker, and as filter coffee it shows sugar cane, caramel and chocolate.

If you prefer espresso, Daymaker works well there too.

The day doesn't make itself. Coffee helps.
